There are many possibilities for use in making posters. creating advertisers for coming events and other uses for our Libraries. I have created an account and put 5 of my favourite books on it but can't see how to link it to my blog.
Still learning.

YouTube

This was a practise go at embedding a video on my blog and doesn't relate to this.

On looking at the examples on our work sheet, YouTube and Google Video seem to be much the same.I have never used either but have heard of Youtube, not all good reports. I was very impressed with the Mosman Library"s use of Google Video where they have put all their Author talks on. It makes it possible for those unable to attend the talk to still look and listem to it. If you have the correct equipment, mobile phones and cameras etc., there would be many uses in the Library for this modern technology.

Wikis

Having never used Wiki or Wikipedia, in looking at the suggested sites I have viewed a lot of words, new to me, ending with ''pedia.
The sites at Princeton Library, the Montana Research Centre would be very good to use in doing book reviews, archive work, looking for government maps etc. The homepage of the State Library of Tasmania is very good,, clear and easy to use.
It is good to see that some wiki sites need email confirmation before posting and/or editing. This was interesting as a collegue and I visited the Museum while on a training day at the State Library last year. I have included the National Geographic and cat sites as being an animal, gardening and nature lover these all interested me. As people who come into the Library sometimes think Librarians know everything I have included the SMH news blogs and a new books listing.

Apart from the ABS for Librarians and new books listing, I doubt if I would use any of the above as it would be much quicker for me to pick up a newspaper or use the internet than to find a suitable blog.

Well this Aged Learner is still surprising herself at what she has been able to do.

Flickr

As I gaze longlingly at the photo at http://flickr.com/photos/mambo1935/132362445 of the wonderful structure known as the Eiffel Tower, I wonder if my dreams of seeing France and in particular Paris with its many sight seeing icons such as the Arc de Triumph, its many monuments, buildings, gardens and bridges and so much more, will ever come true.
